2010 CONNY Coaches Workshop

Once again New Canaan High School and Coach Alex Whitten will host the annual CONNY Coaches Workshop for boys youth lacrosse coaches from across Connecticut and Westchester County. On-Line Registration is now open at www.whittenlax.com

Completion of this workshop will fulfill the CONNY biannual coaches training requirement.
The format this year will be a series of lectures directed specifically to YOUTH Coaches. Presenters will include Coach Whitten, 2007 Tewaaraton Award winner Matt Danowski, and other top area high school coaches, and high profile college and MLL players. Topics will include how to teach fundamental stickwork and skills, how to develop appropriate youth team offensive and defensive philosophies, and how shape a youth program's philosophy and growth. Regardless of their lacrosse or coaching background, youth coaches will gain a lot of useful information. Each participating coach will receive an electronic copy of Coach Whitten's 200-page "Fundamentals of Lacrosse" presentation as well as a "Drill Book" of basic practice drills.
